A commemorative ceremony dedicated to the 104th anniversary of the legendary partisan was held in front of the monument erected to the Soviet Union Hero Mehdi Huseynzade.
At the event held with the participation of a group of servicemen of the Defense Ministry, the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, Shehids, who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of the Motherland, and Mehdi Huseynzade was honored with observing a minute moment of silence. Flowers were laid at the monument to the legendary partisan, and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The event participants were widely informed about the glorious life path of the hero and his feat. It was noted that Mehdi Huseynzade gained fame for his numerous successful reconnaissance operations and unprecedented military achievements.
