A charity event on the medical check-up and treatment of children was held - VIDEO

On the occasion of June 1, International Children's Day and the Ramadan holiday the Ministry of Defense and the Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU) held a joint charity event on the free of charge medical check-up and treatment of children of shehids (martyrs).
The main purpose of the event is to previously identify and examine problems related to the health of children of martyrs and assign relevant treatment for them. During the campaign, special attention was paid to protecting the health of children of martyrs, their check-up, treatment, and organization of clinical check-up.
During the event, held on June 3 at the AMU Educational-Surgical Clinic, the head of the Office for Women and Families of Servicemen of the Main Department for Personnel of the Ministry of Defense Zumrud Samadova noted that the head of state and the Defense Ministry's leadership have always paid special attention and care to the families of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our country. “To remember the martyrs, to pay tribute to their memory is the sacred duty of each of us. Periodically, events are held to solve the problems of these families. We want to be close to them during this action held on the occasion of the holy Ramadan.”
During the day, children have been checked-up by a pediatrician, an ophthalmologist, a dentist, and an orthopedist, as well as blood was taken for analysis and an ultrasound examination was carried out. The necessary measures have been taken to immediately eliminate problems identified during the medical examination.
The doctors expressed satisfaction with participation in the examination of martyr's children. Parents of children expressed their gratitude to the organizers of this charity event.
It should be pointed out that during the action that will continue on June 4, it is planned to conduct examination and treatment of another 30 children of martyrs.
