MAMMADOV FUAD NADIR OGLU
DEPUTY MINISTER OF DEFENCE FOR LOGISTICS – CHIEF OF THE MAIN DEPARTMENT FOR LOGISTIC SUPPORT
Lieutenant General Mammadov Fuad Nadir oglu was born in Baku on 31 January 1968.
He graduated from the Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakchivanski in 1985.
He graduated from the Riga Higher Military Aviation Engineering School in 1990, and from the same year until 1992 he served in the Transcaucasian Military District.
He was the initiator and participant of the hijacking of the Su-25 military aircraft from the Sitalchay airfield of the Commonwealth of Independent States to the Azerbaijani side in April 1992. This aircraft was used against the enemy during military operations.
He was engaged in combat operations for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
From 1992 he served as head of the group in the Air Force of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, deputy squadron commander, chief engineer, deputy commander of the Air Force for logistics.
He has been appointed as Deputy Chief of the Main Department for Logistic Support - Chief of Staff of the Main Department for Logistic Support in accordance with the Order by Presidential Decree dated 13.08.2015. He was appointed as Deputy Minister of Defense for Logistics – Chief of the Main Department for Logistic Support in accordance with the Order by Presidential Decree dated 25.06.2018.
He has received numerous awards and medals for commendable fulfillment of duties.
He is married and has three children.
