MUSTAFAYEV KEREM NARIMAN OGLU
DEPUTY MINISTER OF DEFENSE –
COMMANDER OF THE COMBINED ARMS ARMY
Colonel General Mustafayev Kerem Nariman oglu was born in Sharur region of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on July 1, 1962.
In 1983, he graduated from the Baku Higher Military Command School, from Nakhchivan State University in 2002, from the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2006.
In 1983-1992, he has served as platoon commander, company commander, battalion commander in the Armed Forces of USSR.
Since 1992, he has served as a battalion commander, chief of staff of a separate reinforced motorized rifle brigade – deputy brigade commander, commander of a separate reinforced motorized rifle brigade, commander of motorized infantry division, corps commander in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He was engaged in combat operations for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He has received numerous awards and medals for commendable fulfillment of duties. He has been awarded with the “Azerbaijani Flag” Order by Presidential Decree dated 24.06.2003, the Medal for Distinguished Military Service by Presidential Decree dated 22.06.2006, the Medal for “For Motherland” by Presidential Decree dated 25.06.2009, the Medal for Distinguished Service for Homeland of the 3rd degree by Presidential Decree dated 25.06.2011, the Medal for Distinguished Service for Homeland of the 2nd degree by Presidential Decree dated 24.06.2014.
He has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Defense – Commander of the Combined Arms Army by Presidential Decree dated 14.05.2014.
He is married and has three children.
