On March 17, the Defense Ministry leadership, led by Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov visited the Gusar region.
At first the Defense Ministry leadership visited the monument to the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of the city Gusar.
The memory of the sons who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan as well as the National Hero Chingiz Gurbanov was honored in the Alley of Martyrs.
Then, the presentation of the book about the life of Chingiz Gurbanov "Çingiz dastanı" written by the Honored Art Worker, Presidential Individual Fellowship Abdulla Gurbani and published by the Ministry of Defense, was held in front of the centralized library of the Gusar region.
Having speech at the ceremony, the Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the head of the Executive Power of Gusar region Shair Alkhasov, the father of the National Hero Salman Gurbanov and others expressed their gratitude to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev for the high appreciation given to Chingiz Gurbanov and the shehids who gave their lives for territorial integrity of the country, as well as the attention and care shown to their families.
The first edition of the book was presented to the father of the National Hero S.Gurbanov. The other editions of the book were also presented to all secondary schools in Gusar region and to rural libraries.
At the end of the event the 40 days death memorial of the National Hero Chingiz Gurbanov took place with the participation of the military personnel and public representatives of the Gusar region.
