In accordance with the bilateral military cooperation program for 2023, a group of military personnel of the Military Police Department of the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry visited Georgia.

On September 5, from 21:35 to 22:00 the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the directions of the the Gafan region using small arms periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of the Ordubad region of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

On September 5 at about 19:35 , illegal Armenian armed detachments in the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed attempted to install long-term fortification facilities in front of the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of the Khojavend region.The conducted work was immediately stopped as a result of urgent measures taken by the Azerbaijan Army Units.

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has sent letter of condolences to the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.The letter says:

According to the training plan for 2023 approved by the Azerbaijan Defense Minister, the next training session is being held with the participation of a group of reservists.

The National Defense University hosts Training on Improvement of Pedagogical Instructors which is being held as part of NATO's Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP).

Azerbaijan Army continues conducting competitions and classes with regard to start of the new training period.According to the plan, units were withdrawn from the points of permanent deployment to training centers and training range.The main purpose of holding competitions is to increase the knowledge and skills of military personnel, to maintain a high level of combat readiness.

On September 5, at 01:35, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the direction of the Istisu settlement using various caliber weapons subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of the Istisu settlement of the Kalbajar region.

According to the training plan for 2023, competitions are being held at the battalion, company, division and battery level as part of the combat training week in the Azerbaijan Army.The main purpose of the competitions is to maintain the combat readiness of the units at a high level, to improve the practical skills of the military personnel and to increase the healthy competitive determination of the servicemen.

On September 4, at 11:20, the positions of the Azerbaijan Army Units stationed in the direction of Havush settlement of the Sharur region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were subjected to fire from small arms by the Armenian armed forces units stationed in the opposite direction.
