CISM - International Military Sports Council
Azerbaijan hosted various military sports championships, organized by the Ministry of Defense:
• 2004 – 30th World Military Judo Championship;
• 2006 – 24th World Military Wrestling Championship;
• 2008 – 52nd World Military Boxing Championship;
• 2010 – European Conference of International Military Sports Council;
• 2013 – 1st World Military Football Cup.
The president of International Military Sports Council has visited Azerbaijan in 2005, 2014 and in 2018.
Azerbaijani servicemen won 78 gold, 66 silver and 103 bronze medals at the World and European championships held by the International Military Sports Council
